Women Veterans Recognition Day 2025
It’s a meaningful time to reflect on our history—especially as we approach the 30th anniversary of our groundbreaking on June 22. That moment in 1995 brought together thousands of women veterans and their families, united by the vision of Brig. Gen. Wilma Vaught (USAF, Ret.), who refused to let the contributions of military women be forgotten. That same spirit drives our mission today—thanks to dedicated supporters like you.
This summer, we’re renewing our commitment to honoring the nearly 3 million women who have served. From National Military Appreciation Month in May, to Women Veterans Recognition Day on June 12, to our Adopt A Woman Veteran project, and more, we’re working every day to ensure that every woman’s story is told and becomes a visible part of America’s history.
Help keep HER legacy alive with a donation to the Memorial. Thank you for your support.
