    For decades, General Vaught has been a champion for women who serve our Nation, ensuring they are recognized —and their stories are preserved, seen, and celebrated for generations to come. Because of her vision and determination, the Military Women’s Memorial has stood for nearly 30 years at the entrance to Arlington National Cemetery, honoring women’s 250-year legacy of service. Her dedication to women who serve has truly known no bounds.

    When asked what she hoped for on her birthday, her answer was simple:
    “Keep doing good for good women.”
