• Salute Her Service
  Every Veterans Day, we honor our veterans, their service, and their extraordinary courage. Their selfless service for a cause greater than themselves has guaranteed our freedom for more than two centuries. Wars on foreign soil often took them far from home. The outcomes of those wars – the fate of our nation and the world – weighed heavily on them and changed them forever. Their stories were and are of service, sacrifice, heroism, fear, loss, courage, sadness, camaraderie, hope, and pride. Yet not all their stories are told. Women, who have served our nation since the American Revolution, often go unrecognized. At the Military Women’s Memorial, we honor our women veterans by telling their stories of service. While we can never repay the debt we owe our veterans, carrying on their legacy is one way we show our gratitude.
